The ESP approach is to work with customers on an individual basis to evaluate, plan, design, deploy, operate and optimise high-value, low-risk business solutions.
Our approach is to balance best practice with your individual business needs. Our methodology ensures that as our customer, you understand the solution's viability, you are fully prepared for the transition and integration required, and you are provided with a fully optimised solution.
To provide your business with the right IT solution that will fuel growth and sustain your strategic goals, we begin our work with a solid evaluation of your current IT structure and requirements. With long-term goals in mind, we look at your business’ Return of Investment (ROI) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) objectives to ensure that the recommended solution matches your financial rationale and is upheld throughout its lifecycle. In most cases, the evaluation process will include a proof concept exercise to try out the proposed solution on a small scale and check its viability.
Once we have a good grasp of your company’s IT needs, we deploy a comprehensive plan that provides all parties with a framework of reference. In addition to providing an overview of the proposed IT structure and physical changes necessary, the plan identifies the resources required to deploy the solution as well as the individual responsibilities and critical tasks essential to delivering the solution. To remove all possible obstacles from our trajectory, our plan also looks at potential difficulties and addresses these through appropriate responses.
With a plan of action established, we then start drilling into the new solution’s structure. By defining the solution, the design enables us to determine when and how it will be delivered thus reducing risks, avoiding potential delays, and lowering the total cost of production. As the owner of the new IT structure, you are kept involved each step of the way and given the opportunity to review and approve the design once happy.
At the deployment stage, we roll our sleeves up and get down with business. We install, configure, integrate, test and commission the solution, which—once fully installed—is reviewed through a full acceptance testing. To maximise productivity and avoid downtime, we finish this stage with end-user training support aimed at transferring technical know-how onto your staff for an efficient migration and increased ROI.
Once the solution has been integrated into your IT structure and technical know-how has been successfully transferred onto your staff, we basically stay in touch with you throughout the IT lifecycle of your new solution just to make sure the solution’s performance matches expectations. We arrange regular reviews to monitor the solution and undertake system monitoring, problem and change management if needed.
The job wouldn’t be properly done without this very last piece of the puzzle: optimisation. Ultimately then, we want to ensure that the solution is meeting the requirements established for the business. A couple months down the line then, we analyse the operational and capital costs, ROI, and other related factors. We assess the solution and, if needed, we recommend changes for improved performance, availability and capacity of the solution.
