Wellingborough, 13 January 2011 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, partners with Misco UK Ltd. to deliver printing products and solutions to the Higher Education sector. The announcement came after Samsung was selected by North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium (NEUPC) as a preferred supplier for printer devices and related accessories within the Higher Education sector.
“As a leading IT supplier to the public sector, Misco has a history of dealing with major public sector framework agreements and delivering first class procurement services to the Education sector” said Sandy Price, General Manager at Misco.
“Through Misco’s established relationships with members of the Education sector and experienced Public Sector sales team, Misco will most certainly be an asset to Samsung, helping the company fulfil the demands of the Higher Education sector but also helping it penetrate the B2B market,” Price added.
In a press release issued by Samsung in September, Dion Smith, General Manager, Samsung UK Print Division highlighted the company’s commitment earlier this year to entering the B2B market. As part of Samsung’s strategy to deliver in the B2B market, the company strengthened its range of B2B print devices and secured exclusive partnerships that have enabled it to broaden its IT B2B offering.
Smith said, “We [Samsung] look forward to working closely with Misco to combine Samsung’s best in class printer solutions, together with Misco’s strength in product supply and service provision, in order to successfully fulfil the demands of the Higher Education sector.”
Samsung is one of six preferred suppliers to the new NEPA Framework Agreement and will work together with Misco for the supply of Samsung’s printer, accessories, and related products and services.
