Transforming Meeting Spaces at SWNS Media Group
About customer
SWNS Media Group, headquartered in Bristol, United Kingdom, is a prominent entity within the media and publishing sector. Possessing a substantial national footprint, SWNS functions as one of the largest independent press agencies in the United Kingdom, providing news, features, images, and video content to major media organisations. The organisation is dedicated to employing advanced technology to improve collaboration and operational efficiency, thereby enabling its editorial and operational teams to work cohesively across various offices and remote locations.
Challenge
SWNS faced a series of AV and collaboration challenges that hindered productivity and meeting efficiency. The business required a standardised, Microsoft Teams-ready environment across multiple meeting spaces.
These challenges were amplified by the need to integrate new solutions with some existing hardware, while ensuring all spaces supported intuitive, reliable, and future-proof collaboration.
Overview
Misco collaborated with SWNS Media Group to deliver a comprehensive audiovisual transformation across multiple meeting spaces, working alongside trusted partner Cinos. The project involved the design, supply, and installation of integrated AV solutions, fully aligned with SWNS’s operational requirements. Key stakeholders included SWNS’s IT team, Misco’s project management staff, and Cinos as a solutions delivery partner. The project aim was to create a consistent, professional, and highly functional meeting experience across all rooms, regardless of size or purpose, while simplifying the process for end-users. By utilising pre-staging and careful coordination, Misco ensured that the installation was carried out with minimal disruption to daily business operations.
Solutions
The deployment included a combination of Logitech Room Solutions and tailored AV hardware, integrated with the existing display infrastructure.
Lenovo Base Bundles
Tap Schedulers
Logitech MeetUp 2 video bars
Logitech Rally Bar Mini
Mounting Solutions: Chief Fusion wall mounts for various display sizes.
Displays: Integration with customer-owned screens ranging from 55" to 85".
Outcomes
The AV modernisation project provided the following tangible benefits.
Unified AV Experience
All rooms now provide a consistent Microsoft Teams interface, reducing training needs.
Improved Scheduling & Ad-hoc Booking
Logitech Tap Schedulers provide clear, real-time room availability and make it simple to reserve rooms for ad-hoc meetings.
Operational Efficiency
Pre-staging minimised onsite disruption and accelerated deployment.
High ROI
Transparent cost structure and optimised use of existing assets maximised value.
Increased Room Utilisation
Meeting room usage has increased since implementing Logitech equipment, with MeetUp 2 enabling smaller rooms to be used more effectively.
Better Space Efficiency
Smaller 2–4 person meetings are now held in appropriate rooms rather than boardrooms, increasing availability of larger spaces.
Improved Inter-Office Communication
Upgrading to the Rally Bar Mini has strengthened communication between the Bristol and London offices.
Reduced Helpdesk Issues
SWNS has seen a reduction in AV-related issues reported to the IT helpdesk since installation.
The professional installation gives each space a polished, integrated look and feel, making the technology seem like a natural part of the room rather than separate hardware mounted on the wall. Together, these improvements have significantly enhanced meeting quality, increased room utilisation, improved space efficiency, reduced technical issues, and strengthened hybrid collaboration across SWNS’s Bristol and London offices..
“The transformation of our meeting spaces has been outstanding. Misco and Cinos delivered a professional, end-to-end solution that has significantly improved how our teams collaborate.”
